If your going to install a SC dont waste your money on an underdrive damper because if you decide to change the damper you will need an overdrive damper. N/A cars use the underdrive damper to gain power. When your trying to gain boost and you can not get a smaller pulley/ cog for the SC most will go towards the overdrive damper to gain more boost. Pulleys and Cogs for the SCs are cheaper than dampers. I haven't gone with a damper yet because I can buy a one step smaller cog for $100 to gain boost hp and torque. Tha damper is around $400. Cost difference is a no brainer.

OK that makes sense so with a supercharged motor no good but on a naturally aspirated motor its a good mod ? Still on the fence about supercharging its will cost me 6-7 k to grab about 120 horse on 7 lbs of boost that puts me well over 500 horsepower at the motor and I'm concerned with reliability and longevity since its my daily driver and I can't really afford 6-7 k anyway lol I might just do cam and headers for now with a good tune I should get about 60-70 horse out of it and it won't cost me nearly as much

Heard alot of great things about them, as long as you dont have a heavy duty hard hitting stereo system or bunch of Audio/Video components. I have heard of gains but usually 7-15 crank HP, not wheels HP but for the little cost, I would think it would be worth trying.

I may do it at the same time as the cam since its right there I just wonder about the added strain on the components the belt runs like power steering ac and the alternator especially at idle with a cam
