What engine mods can I do that won't negatively effect supercharging? I'm thinking about buying headers here soon but I don't want to screw myself.

From my understanding if you add headers to a sc setup will lower your boost but will increase torque. Either way adding headers with or without cats will require a tune inorder to pass emissions. I would recommend getting all the mods at once then install them at the same time. That way you will save money on the cost for tuning. Premier charges about $650, JDP charges around $450 to tune. The cost for tuning will add up fast. Your probable going to be in the same situation as most of and will have to set up your build in phases. Setting up your build in phases will reduce the tuning costs.
I'm looking at long tube headers with high flow cats, cam and 87mm tb, but I plain on getting everything first then getting the tune done.

Unless you get a scream in deal on headers, I would invest the money elsewhere. Not that they aren't great, they are just so damn expensive for the lil gains received. I would save that $900 and get drop in forged pistons/rings, so you can crank up the boost past 6.5lbs of boost, that's just my opinion for what it's worth. Keep us posted. Which supercharger are your thinking bout going with? And is this the dart or charger?

I'm looking at a pro charger although I am pretty new to the whole super charger world. This would go on the charger cause the dart has a tiny turbo ;p

Like chris said save the money on heads.i would still build the bottom end a little. A comp cam. Forged parts. Something to still give you torque with the added hp. Heard lots of good reviews on pro chargers.

Keep an eye on the national forums. There is usually someone selling a s/c. From my understanding these motors are good to about 8-10 lbs of boost before you need to forge the bottom end. Some say forge first the go with a s/c. Figure out what your end result is and then plan out the best route.

Both are nice but the D1 seems to make a little bit more power. That what Harrison was running in his 11.8-11.9 second Jeep SRT8 in Vegas. Dewayne has P1 and he was running 12.1-12.3 in Vegas last year
