I really would like to get my AWD lowered, I have some SRT springs sitting in my garage and really would like to throw them onto the stock AWD struts. I have heard yes and no if it will work.... It really just depends on the day. I also went to my families mechanic and he said he couldnt find a definitive answer as to if it will work (granted they work mostly on mustangs and generic cars) he doesn't want to install them and have me pay 500 for install then come to find out they dont work and throw another 500 to switch it back... If its possible I would love to get it done and actually know if it can be done... WIth that if anyone here in the group would like to help throw these springs on (granted only if its possible) I would love the help and Ill throw some lunch and whatever else in

I am no suspension expert by any means but I was advised/informed that the srt8 suspension is designed for the heavier engine and installing on V6 models make car actually sit even higher. I am trying to think who I heard this from, might have been Eddy but double check around on lx forum and research before paying money on install that won't result in the lowering ride you are looking for.
But I am down to help out, if you find it does work. Good luck on research, and keep us posted.

What I've seen from pictures, the AWD spring is about 2 inches taller than the srt one... not really sure if it will work on not, I was told by one guy on charge forums it would but he did it on his R/T. Can't seem to get any real help on LX forums either...

I really just want to get it lowered more than anything, and I don't necessarily want to go with coil overs and such way to pricey... really would love to see this workout with the srt springs. Just not sure what to do

From doing a little reading and surfing across LXF and CF it seems it would raise the front of the RWD V6 because the reduced weight of the aluminum forged engine vs the V8 hemi.... With that being said... The AWD already has what a 4 inch lift? not really sure, so it should drop it to srt ride height and the reason I say that is not because of the AWD ride height but because of the extra components sitting in the front end of the car such as the drive shaft, front differential, and so on.... which should help balance out the weight correct me if im wrong here guys...

Decided to play it safe and sell the springs... If anyone on here is interested in them let me know..
Do you guys know of another route to go for lowering? I'm trying to avoid getting new struts.
Dying to mod something and my other option is to either dip my car another color or get some headers. Lol

I know Eddie was trying to sell his coil over suspension he had on his V6 300 and to go back tot he stock set up. His was not an AWD, so I don't know if they would work or not, but I think he's still trying to sell them. Just a thought!

Really would like to get the springs I have on the car but ive just heard and read some many conflicting things from it will raise up to work just fine since the AWD is heavier in front and so on...

Truthfully I may wait to sell the springs until I come out there, would like to still try to throw them on the front end and see what happens, guess Ill just have to be the guinea pig for trying something like this

... First, I thank Stephen for pointing out this thread before anyone got into the same issues as this guy: www.custommagnums.com/forums/awd/70146-eibach-springs-srt-suspension-awd.html . I will be blunt here, do not play the mix and match game with OEM suspensions on the front because you'll likely find yourself left wanting, or broke because you had to do things twice or even three times. The AWD has a completely different strut assembly than the RWD platforms, that's the first major difference. It’s also the most important. As for the rears, the rear cradle is the same so parts are interchangeable which helps us out in that regard... The strut design is one which is based on controlling drive components as well as vehicle weight and are designed to clear a different offset of wheels. The lower spring perch locations vary between RWD and AWD platforms because of this. Very few have ever gained success in this game on the front of an AWD V6 because the variables at play, especially when using used parts. As for a 4" lift... not quite. We ride approximately 1.5" higher than an RWD which is about 1/2" higher than an SRT. More like a 2" lift if you want to call it a lift. My suggestion is simply buy parts designed for the car, or find one of the few who have successfully and continue to drive successfully, on a homemade concoction of parts. Keep us posted as to what you do, I always like to see what mods people got going on.
