Midnight Mayhem LV street tires Who did ya race? Solid numbers on street tires though. Ran into Steve on Sunday at Costco, he said you had some fun on the oval track as well.

That one was somebodys little custom pop riveted body play car. Second race I ran a 13.70 against a sweet 71 camaro with I think he said it was a built 454 pushing 590hp Got blown away but was mostly just data logging to see where the motor was in those temps Sunday was a hoot, hooked up with the local Challenger owner group and they let me run with them in their time slot. My speedo showed 115 but talked to a guy in the pits that was radaring the group during the run and he told me that on my 3rd lap he caught me on a run up to the pace car I hit 126 We should plan a weekend event for next year. Too much fun!

The fun thing little as it may be was that sticker in the back window of U.M.M. was what all of the local guys and gals where chasing.

Yes they are, and all very close races as well. Solid E/T as well. Reaction time will improve with more experience, try punching the gas when Ya see the third yellow light. Wish I could have went,I would have loved to race that 850 hp ZL1. I will be out there this coming Friday.
Jon, do you recall what your engine temps were? Anything over 185, heat soak robs our cars of power. Also have you tried putting car in autoshift mode starting in first gear versus drive? Also did you fully disable ESP,? when car detects wheel spinage, it pulls power back down. Also did Ya go around water box on street tires? If not, you should have. Water on wheels only make Ya spin more, the water box is for cleaning off slicks and drag radials. Do you recall if you dropped your street tire pressure down. A good start point I found on rear street tires is 24psi and work your way down to 18-20psi. Leave front tires psi alone. Another tip is to reset TCM, this is the adaptive mode for normally driving. Resetting your TCM makes car relearn driving mode, which wakes car up. More importantly did Ya have fun? It's a lot to take in but Ya will be running into the 12s before to long. By the way, 13.6 is the fastest Lightly modded times we seen in Utah. When mine was stock I think I was at 14.0-14.1 if I recall.

Thanks guys! Most importantly, I did have fun! I figured out the 3rd yellow light by my 3rd run, I always went through the water box (won't next time) I was in track mode, I would enter launch mode, spin the tires a little, stage and go. Never aired down. Engine temps were 200ish. Intake temp around 90. Outside temp was 65.
